For Your Safety: Consider the heat and humidity when making your RSVP decision. WATER MUST BE CARRIED ON ALL WALKS! In consideration of personal and group safety, if you arrive without water, you will not be allowed to walk. Take precautions against the sun, such as sunscreen and a hat. Use repellent to protect yourself from ticks and other biting insects. Poison ivy is common on many trails.
Meet at 6:45 am for sign-in and stretching to begin walking promptly at [time]. Hosted by Princess Katherine with Sweep Prince George.
—Prerequisite: Instructional clinic ability to walk on hard-packed sand
—Distance: 3 miles. No turn-back or shorter option.
—Pace: Moderate
—Terrain: Sand
Brief walk description to set the scene, for example: Enjoy sunrise on this 3-mile walk along the Nantucket Sound.
—Limit 5 including Host and Sweep. Please do not sign up if you see the Closed/Full sign or if walk has reached its limit.
—Limit 1 walk per day and 3 RSVPs per week (Sunday to Saturday) to give others the chance to walk. If you are already holding 3 RSVPs for the week of this walk, please do not sign up.
—Wear your CCNW ID badge.
—Bring sand baskets, and sunglasses.
—Restrooms and water are/are not available. Bring tissue in a plastic bag for a bio break.
—Kindly update your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance of walk start time if your plans change. This allows the Host to plan and accommodate other walkers.
Walk may be canceled, changed, or rescheduled for weather or other reasons. Cancellation decision will be made at least 1in advance. Check this FB event for last-minute notifications before heading out.
